Monthly Programs

• Participation in programs with the option to attend in-person or remote (Zoom) is a member's benefit.
• In-person non-members (guests) may attend a limited number of in-person meetings as a courtesy to our local libraries and their communities that provide CAGGNI meeting space. 
• Remote guests are required to pay a separate fee to attend remotely (Zoom).
• Program handouts are a member's benefit. 
• Paying non-members (guests) may receive the handout for that meeting. 
• Free guests are not entitled to handouts.
• Program recordings are an exclusive member's only benefit. 
• Non-members (guests) have no access to recordings.
• Access to the extensive archive of past program handouts and recordings is an exclusive member's only benefit. 
• Handouts are currently available for most meetings since 2009
• Recordings are available for many meetings since 2020 

Quarterly Special Interest Groups (SIG)

• Participation in SIG meetings is an exclusive member's only benefit. 
• SIG handouts and recordings are an exclusive member's only benefit.
• Access to the extensive archive of past SIG handouts and recordings is an exclusive member's only benefit. 
  

• All SIGs have a remote (Zoom) participation option.
• Some SIGs may also have an in-person option. 
• If the SIG is held in a library's large meeting room in-person attendance will follow the same rules as programs. If it is held in a smaller room (e.g. study room, etc.) in-person guests will not be allowed.

* Occasional exceptions may be made for a SIG meeting location type (i.e., in-person only, hybrid, or remote only).

Monthly Newsletters

• Monthly newsletters are sent to members as an exclusive benefit (via email notification and member's only website access) 
• Our Newsletter is an excellent source of tips, genealogy news and articles of interest for the modern genealogy researcher. We invite you to view a sample Newsletter.
• All members are also encouraged to submit articles to the editor for consideration. This provides an opportunity to share genealogy knowledge, case studies, and stories.
• Access to the extensive archive of past newsletters is an exclusive member's only benefit. 

Biennial Special Events

• Discounted GeneaQuest Conference admission
• Access to road trips with the ability to invite a guest.

Members-Only Website Access

• Members receive access to the members-only section of the CAGGNI website. 
• Non-members (guests) are not allowed access to this section or the related functionality.
• Members Directory 
• Members can edit their own profiles.
• Members can search for others in the group with similar interests.
